Parking tips
The simple fact is, every self-respecting original musician and band in northern Ohio has played the 'Spider. It has all the decorum of an olde-style tavern, including dim lighting, which always makes us look better. Jenna, following in the footsteps of the 'Spider's "founding father" Martin Juredine, has kept this place all about the music, by upgrading the sound system, and keeping rowdy customers in check. The clientèle includes a broad mix, from old-school music-lovers to CWRU students. In the summer, the walls literally open up, and the sound drifts onto the patio.

Clay's Park Resort Just off State Route 21
Canal Fulton, OH
Web site
Yes, Clay's hosts music every weekend, between its two concert venues. But this is a 500-acre park, also boasting beach & pool swimming, boating, fishing, mini golf, hiking, a skate park, sand volleyball, tennis & basketball courts, and even pizza delivery to their camp sites. The amenities and facilities are much more casual than a country club, and don't expect roller coasters, but there are plenty of ways to keep your whole family entertained for the weekend, all for a single price. (About $15 for admission to the water park. See their web site for current rates.)
